Keep an Eye on Us
 

We’re looking for community-minded people with an interest in journalism or photography to help us publish Community-focus. You can be young, old or anywhere in between.

There are several positions available.

Event photographer – go on-site to events and happenings in the Grey-Bruce area and take pictures of what happens. You can wear one of our snazzy yellow ball-caps so people know who you are representing. You can even make a little money with this job if we sell photo reprints from our gallery.

Assistant editor – help us review editorials sent to our opinion column, learn the skills of proofing and editorial selection.

Business news reporter – write business-related news articles for our business news section. Learn the basic skills of writing a press release and news item.

Production – help us post material to Community-focus and learn the basics of web site design and publishing.

Writing Workshops - Start in March

Do you like to write and need a forum for your ideas? Would you like to share your knowledge with your community? Do you want to comment on what's happening in your community?

Whatever your reason, if you are interested in writing for new media like Community-focus, we can help. We will be offering writing workshops in March to teach people how to write for publications such as ours.

Call us to let us know you are interested and we will provide you with additional information.
